Pre-K

Hello, my name is Miss Halle and I am the assistant director of education and the lead teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom. I have been with The Learning Garden for 3 years. I have recently graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and dog Sawyer. My passion is helping kids learn and grow through play and teaching the word of God.

Pre-Kindergarten 

4 to 5 years


In Pre-Kindergarten we strive to prepare our students with the necessary skills to be ready for kindergarten. We focus on important knowledge needed for kindergarten such as alphabet and number knowledge, social development, science, writing, and reading skills. In large and small groups students work together to problem solve, learn, and develop social skills. Physical activity is a big part of TLG’s mission to promote healthy habits and to help develop important gross motor skills. Christian curriculum is one of the most important aspects to our Pre-K room. With the help of Mr. Brad, TLG’s co-owner, students learn to know the word of God and how to spread it to others. Students learn about the various bible stories and how to apply those lessons to everyday life, to grow a relationship with God, the importance of daily prayer, and how to build a foundation of faith that will last a lifetime.
